Calion

CALION es el nuevo nombre artístico de Alejandro Campos, DJ y productor de house underground basado en Ciudad de México. Tras tres años bajo el alias Alex Campoz, en mayo de 2026 evoluciona a CALION — del latín caelum (cielo, espacio abierto) y del Quenya cal- (luz, brillar).

El nombre apunta al momento exacto que persigue en pista: la oscuridad que se abre, el drop que ilumina el cuarto, el set que sostiene a la gente bailando hasta que sale el sol.

Su sonido se planta en el espectro entre el tech house contemporáneo de Josh Baker y ANOTR, y el house underground de cuerpo melódico que define las pistas mexicanas de los últimos tres años. Peak time y closing son su zona natural.

CALION is the new artistic name of Alejandro Campos, house underground DJ and producer based in Mexico City. After three years under the alias Alex Campoz, in May 2026 he evolves into CALION — from Latin caelum (sky, open space) and Quenya cal- (to shine, light).

The name points to the exact moment he chases on the dancefloor: the darkness that opens, the drop that illuminates the room, the set that sustains the crowd until sunrise.

His sound sits between the contemporary tech house of Josh Baker and ANOTR, and the melodic house underground that has defined Mexico City dancefloors over the past three years. Peak time and closing are his natural slots.
